Begin your immersive journey by departing from Lima and traversing the iconic Panamericana highway towards the coastal town of Paracas. Once you arrive you will have the chance to explore the breathtaking landscapes of the Paracas National Reserve, a protected area teeming with diverse marine life and dramatic coastal cliffs. As you arrive back in the town of Paracas, you’ll settle in for the night, ready to embark on further adventures in the days ahead.

After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll be picked up from your hotel and taken to the Port of Puno, where you’ll board a boat bound for the Floating Islands of the Uros, known for their unique architecture and way of life. As we explore two of the 90+ islands, our knowledgeable guide will teach us about the history, customs, and main activities of the local Uros people, including crafts, tourism, and artisanal fishing. Don’t miss the chance to take an additional ride in their traditional reed boats, a 20-minute tour that offers a fascinating glimpse into their construction techniques and daily life.

Next, we’ll head to the natural island of Amantani, a two-hour and fifty-minute boat ride away, where we’ll take a 30-minute walk to the main square of the town. Our guide will share the island’s history and culture with us, and we’ll enjoy a mouthwatering lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, we’ll have free time to explore the surroundings, marvel at the stunning views of Lake Titicaca, and take in the nature that surrounds the lake as we walk along the trail on one side of the island. For our return to Puno, we’ll descend through the opposite side of the island, providing an unforgettable experience. After the tour you will be dropped off at your hotel and have the rest of the evening free.

Today you’ll embark on an overland journey from Puno to Cusco, starting with an early pick-up from your hotel in Puno. Your adventure begins with a visit to the Pukara Culture Lithic Museum, offering insights into the ancient Pukara culture’s artifacts and sculptures, including the renowned Hatunñaqac sculpture. Next, explore the majestic Raya Pass, located at over 4335 meters above sea level, offering breathtaking views of the snowcapped Chimboya Mountain and considered the birthplace of the Amazon River.
